The Freudian Cat..

I cant remember well, though i can say it was five or six years ago..it was a pleasent evening....i was fourteen or thirteen then...after fourO clock in the evening i visited my grannys home...in the front space of the house i saw my moms sister caressing a cute cat in her laps..it was a chubby beautiful kid...she was really happy to see me...i just kissed in her forehead and me too started caressing that little chubby cat...but i was able to sense a little inconvenience in that little chubby boy..he was moaning ....i could able to see a scissor placed near to the stalky moustache of the cat...

I asked her.."hey what is this? why a scissor near this cutiee..?'..
she replied eagerly.."john, you dont know the fact?..if we never trim the moustache of those cats regularly they might see their reflection in those streams and they will be entering the forest..they never live with us in the home..."..
i replied.."Oh..Is it so??..hmm..but the boy is very cute..he has a beautiful moustache..please dont cut it.."
she replied.."hey, else he will enter the forest.."
/,...................................................................................................,/

Just five years later (ie now) when i'm also like that cat with beautiful moustache, one day when i entered the library of our college i was able to find a psychology book and when i was just skimming through the text the freudian theory chapter was intriguing and i was drifted by the velocity of interest into that and then entered the lacan, whose temporal location is somewhat later from the freudian slip...

When i was reading on pets , i could able to recollect that little story, a small custom practised in the rural areas of the tip of south india..the kanyakumari..even i was not sure whether this practice has the distribution in the other region of india too..hmm..well any anthropologist would give me some answers..leave it..just when i was recollecting that story i could find a connection between the oedipal model of freud and that chubby cat....

A cat is a animal which is domesticated. i prefer you to give more stress to the word-domestication. yes..i wish to say you the significance of the moustaches..those moustaches are male signifiers in that rural areas..in that little culture..whenever a boy enters his adolescence it is the symbolic that the boy wears to show the maleness...the signifier of male...

The beautiful connection..or i say a simulation of the castration complex is done in pets..the pets are made to be confined to the houses..live along with us..eat our food..and sleep along with us..and i must say the cats enjoy lots of freedom among the pet animals..they arent tied..they move freely whever they want..they can catch anything they want..sometimes they are scolded by grandmaas for drinking milk..hehehhe..and they are beautiful too....the way they eat the prey cockroaches and the way they eat the fish remains are beautiful and it is scenic when they are droven out by my grandmaa for approaching the fish..hehehehe...

so if the male signifier is present they are not confined to the houses..the mainline of those practice my moms sister done...so domestication is equated to castration..right,..!!!

But i think now, why my dad visits the streets in the evening and more socialize..but not the womankind of our houses...a comparsion to the women suppression in india...when a male is bounded within a home, not going outside for any works they are joked as "pennan"..it means a shemale...
So now i decided to bring a cat from my moms sister and grow it along with me, but this time let me allow the cat to have a large moustache more than me..hehehhe...
so friends now a great "MEEOWWWWW"...!!!
